Hudson Design is a collaborative and passionate studio, built on a foundation of decades of shared experience. Our team thrives on a love for thoughtful details, creating environments where clients can truly enjoy every carefully made decision.
Founded by James “Jamie” M. Copeland in 1986 on Fifth Avenue, our firm has grown to offer a full suite of services—from architecture and interior design to construction management. As Jamie says, “If you find your passion, and find a way to serve other people with that passion, it’s not work.”
Design That Endures
Hudson Design was established in 1986 by Architect James (Jamie) M. Copeland on Fifth Avenue in New York City, offering project planning, interior design and architectural services. In 1993, the firm relocated to the Hudson Valley, integrating construction management into its services to offer clients enhanced oversight of budget, craftsmanship, and timeline.
Looking back over 40 years, Jamie sums up the firm’s ethos, “If you find your passions, and find ways to serve others with those passions, it is not work. It is joy. At Hudson Design, we have assembled a team of like-minded individuals willing to focus our training and creative collaboration on the architectural dilemmas and aspirations of others.
