Lake View Hideaway

The Lake View Hideaway is a modern, minimalist home, designed for a picturesque lakefront setting on Lake Oscawana in Putnam Valley, New York. The home’s location borders a protected forest. As a result the secluded woodland area played a prominent role in influencing its design.

The home’s remote setting on the last remaining parcel of private land, was well suited for an open floor plan, expansive windows, and unobstructed vistas.

Hudson Design’s architects designed a simpler exterior – one that does not conflict with the natural beauty of the surroundings. Therefore attention to minimal details on the interior produced a home that makes you more aware of the surroundings then the enclosure of the building. Details that were included, were done so with fine craftsmanship and authentic materials.

The entire home is focused on the lake with views from every room, large expansive windows, high ceilings and exterior balconies that reduce the barrier between interior and exterior.
