Bear Creek Dining Hall
The Bear Creek Dining Hall anchors the camp through a central commons, which serves as the main organizing element for the surrounding facilities. The segmented form visually links the gymnasium and future Recreation Hall while reducing the perceived scale of the larger structures. The dining area’s window wall is oriented to the northeast, maximizing natural morning light and framing views across the main floor to the commons and lake beyond. An open scissor truss defines the structure, reaching maximum height at the stage to achieve an optimal acoustic form.

“The Dining Hall is a stunning structure, a perfect compliment to its natural setting.”
– Col. Richard McPeak, USMA West Point
